Dear Fellow Traveler,

As an entrepreneur I have founded, funded and built four multi-million dollar companies from scratch. The first one failed. I sold the second one for a handsome profit. And I took the third and fourth public on the NASDAQ.

I could have retired several times, but my passion for new ideas, the challenge of turning those ideas into products, and the excitement of bringing those products to market in a unique and dramatic way has continued to lead me from one business adventure to another.

Having mentored many entrepreneurs through the years, helping them fund and build their own successful companies, I am now putting my skills and battlefield experience to use to help the best and brightest emerging growth prospects.

AeroGrow International, Inc. (NASDAQ) – $5 Million Raised Through IDOs
Led company from zero to $87 million in cumulative sales in 36 months and attained a market cap of $150 million. Investment returns up to 900%.

  • Created AeroGarden, a patented kitchen crop appliance that sold in over 8,000 retail outlets, quickly become a top seller on QVC and HSN, and ranked #1 on Amazon’s “Most Wished For” list for two years.
  • Developed 2 infomercials and other direct response campaigns that dramatically increased national sales while increasing margins and driving national retail traffic.
  • AeroGarden featured on The Today Show, The View, and The Ellen DeGeneres Show, as well as in The New York Times, The Economist, Woman’s World, TIME, and the Will Smith movie I Am Legend.

Voice Power Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ) – $5 Million Raised Through IDOs
Grew from zero to $24 million in sales in 18 months and attained a market cap of nearly $70 million. Investment returns up to 300%.

  • Used funding to acquire world-class senior management and outmaneuver competitors in R&D efforts.
  • Quickly rolled out numerous feature-rich products nationwide, including the world’s first hand-held, voice-recognition electronics device – the VCR Voice – allowing consumers to program their VCR with voice commands.
  • Sold products through infomercials, specialty catalogs, national retail chains, and international distributors.

Knight Protective Industries – $2 Million Raised Through IDOs
Grew from zero to $29 million in five years and sold the company at a price that gave early investors returns of up to 1,300%.

  • Developed technology that brought home security costs down by up to a factor of ten while offering greater protection.
  • Sold “Master Distributorships” throughout the US and Japan.
  • Doubled sales results for five consecutive years and sold the company for a significant profit.

Shagrila Carpets – Failed from lack of capital

  • Started my first business from home, expanded it rapidly to three stores and a warehouse, in the process becoming one of the largest carpet chains on the west coast of Florida.
  • The business folded in 1976 due to over-expansion and under-funding.
